Education is an important topic discussed among decision makers, parents, educators and students themselves whom from their perspective have different expectations and ideas of what education should be. In Thai society, there are also several visions of education competing. Indeed, there are very few students who came out to publicly tell about their experiences in the Thai education system and how they would like to see changes. Therefore, FES Thailand and the Thai Civic Education network support Tanis Werasakwong in developing this comic project to tell his story through the Thai education system and how from a student who did feel conform and obedient to the conservative and oppressive educational structure he became a young activist who uses his drawing talent to voice out his concern about social issues in the Thai society.
