Zusammenfassung
The study is a part of the FES European Youth Studies project. It investigates the opinions of Hungarian youth on a broad range of topics, such as education, employment, political participation, family relationships, and values. It reveals that young Hungarians have become more interested in politics in recent years, report strong support to the EU, demonstrate strong optimism for the future, but remain largely dissatisfied with their current life situations. The Hungarian youth is also highly polarized in how they perceive the functioning of democracy in their country. The study surveyed 1500 respondents aged 15-29, and the quantitative data was further corroborated with ten in-depth interviews and three focus groups.
