Zusammenfassung
A textbook entitled "Post-positivist Theories of International Relations" by Vahe Davtyan, a doctor of political science and professor at the UNESCO Department of Human Rights, Democratization and Political Science at Bryusov State University, has been published.
The textbook was prepared and published jointly with the Armenian branch of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. This textbook aims to fill a gap in Armenian-language international studies caused by the neglect of post-positivist theories. At the same time, the approaches and principles contained in this paradigm are of great importance both for the modernization of scientific and educational programs and for the modernization of certain areas of Armenian foreign policy and the correct assessment of a number of trends in world politics.
The textbook presents the main theories of the post-positivist paradigm of international relations: Postmodernism, Constructivism, Post-Marxism, and Feminism. The political and philosophical foundations of these theories, as well as some international problems raised by their proponents, are critically presented.
The textbook is intended for a wide range of students, instructors in international and political science, and readers interested in theories of international relations.
