Zusammenfassung
This study on Zimbabwes media landscape was conducted to get accurate and verified data on the nature of the media industry in Zimbabwe. It complements other studies that have been conducted, which include the African Media Barometer that assesses the national media environment in various African countries including Zimbabwe.
The research also complements results from the information and Media Panel of Inquiry (IMPI), a study on the media industry and its players, to understand ownership patterns, and nature of the industry as well as diversity, independence and sustainability of the sector. Focus was media in print, radio and television sectors.
