This Issues Paper was commissioned by Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Zambia Office, as a baseline information for the preparation of an Issues Paper on the Just Cities Initiative (JCI) in Zambia. The field phase of the study was conducted in four cities: Chipata, Kitwe, Livingstone and Solwezi from 18th April 2022 to 20th May 2022. The study was commissioned under the auspices of the global framework agreement between UN-Habitat and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), who have agreed to collaborate and occasionally host joint events, dialogue programmes and workshops on variety of topics with the objective of contributing to the achievement of SDG 11 and other related SDGs.
