Abstract
  • The war in Gaza underscores the urgent need for an inclusive governance approach, involving all political factions, young people and women to achieve Palestinian unity and lasting peace. A future Palestinian state, including Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, must be built on inclusivity, equity and democratic governance to ensure sustainable development and peace. Despite the ongoing conflict, practicing democracy and holding leadership accountable are essential for Palestinian self-determination and preventing Hamas from monopolising negotiations.
