With the Asian Media Barometer (ANMB) the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung has developed its own unique tool of analysis, which allows for the assessment of the media landscape of a given country by a range of local media experts and civil society respresentatives. The ANMB identifies the short comings of the media situation and offers concrete recommendations for the media work of FES-offices and their partner organisations. After doing this exercise for the first time in 2009, FES Pakistan has published its second ANMB in December 2012.
