CERTIFICATION OF INCORPORATION
OF
ASSOCIATION OF FREE GERMANS, Inc.Pursuant to Article II of the Membership Corporations Law.
We, the undersigned, desiring to form a corporation pursuant toArticle II of the Membership Corporations Law of the State of New York,do hereby make, subscribe and acknowledge this certificate for that pur-pose, as follows:
1. The name of the proposed corporation is ASSOCIATION OF FREEGERMANS , Inc.
2. The corporation is organized for the purposes as follows:
a) To organize German refugees from Germany and other Nazi occupiedcountries in order to enable them to contribute their part in destroyingNazism .
b) To organize free Germans in the United States of America and in otherparts of the world for the purpose of promulgating the doctrines asset forth by President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill and asexpounded in the document known as the Atlantic Charter .
c) To study and to draft plans in collaboration with representatives ofother nations, for the purpose of reconstructing a free democraticGermany and a peaceful Europe .
d) To foster the ideals of a free Germany free from the dominance of theprinciples of Nazism and all other forms of totalitarianism.
e) To promote peace and good will on earth and to safeguard and transmitto posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy.
f) To conduct historic, political and social research for the purposes offostering the principles of democracy and to combat Nazism and allother forms of totalitarian government.
g) To cherish, maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom.
3. It shall not be within the purposes or powers of the corporationto attempt to influence legislation, and the corporation shall not, either asone of its purposes or as a means of furthering any of its purposes, attemptto influence legislation.
4. The territory in which the corporation's operations are principallyto be conducted is in the United States of America and in all parts of theworld where, from time to time, the furtherance of its objects shall benecessary.
5. The principal office of the corporation is to be located in the Cityand County of New York . The corporation may have other offices for thepurpose of properly conducting its business either within or without theState of New York .
6. This corporation is not established and shall not be maintained,conducted or used for pecuniary profit.
7. The number of directors of the corporation shall not be less thanthree or more than fifteen.
8. The names and residences of the directors to serve until the firstannual meeting are:
