In response to your request I asked Com.Marie Juchacz , formermember of the German Parlament and president of the organisation" Arbeiter-Wohlfahrt in Germany , to make out a list according to the wish of the Woman'sCommittee of the C.C.F. in Canada .Com.Juchacz took special care to select brave and meritoriouswomen who really deserve special attention. I hope, that the mentioned Women'nsCommittee will find it possible to send foodparcels to the following women,which will be received-I am sure- not only as a very welcome aid to overcomeactual hunger, but also as a contribution which will strengthen their spirit.Needless to say, that it was very difficult to choose only tenout of a great number of women, but we are grateful even for this opportunity.

M.A. was a member of Parlament for 13 years-before Hitler - and was arrested several timesafter he came to power. She was under surveillancewhen not held in jail or concentration camp.Afterliberation by the Russians she had many unpleasantexperiences.Later she was turned out by the PolesShe lost everything and arrived sick in the Ruhr area.At present she works with the Labor movement.N.M. is 75 years of age. She was town councillorfor many years an was hounted by the Nazis . Duringthis time, her husband suffered a nervous breakdowand is still sick.Mrs.M.is in danger to loose hersight.Not enough, she had to undergo an operationtofor cancer several weeks ago.As 18ng as she couldmanage she worked-after the liberation- for thelabor movement.
