A N A LY S I S GLOBAL AND REGIONAL ORDER TIME FOR A POST­CORONAVIRUS SOCIAL CONTRACT! Henrik Maihack and Manfred Öhm August 2020 The crisis of multilateralism ­accelerated by the corona­­virus pandemic and a trend of de-globalisation are causing economic shifts. Many coun­tries on the African continent in particular are adversely af­fected by this development. Political and economic stimuli are needed to link regional value creation with a socio­ecological transformation in Africa. Strengthening multi­­la­teralism within the scope of a post-coronavirus social contract is necessary to carry out this transformation. The operationalisation of such a post-coronavirus social contract would be a task for the ongoing regional negotiation processes between the EU and the AU.
