There are a number of possible paths for EU-UK cooperation on environmental regulation, including dynamic alignment with EU law at one extreme and systematic departure from EU standards at the other. The UK has duplicated some regulatory mechanisms, though little strategy on environmental policy had emerged until the publication of the Retained EU law(Revocation and Reform) Bill, which would repeal all EU law by the end of 2023.
