Abstract
This is a follow-up to the FES analysis "China's role in multilateral arms control" by Oliver Meier and Michael Staak, published in 2022. The short paper is based on the questions of where differences and similarities between Berlin and Beijing lie and where a dialog is possible. Based on the analysis of 2022, the latest developments in the field of multilateral arms control are addressed. In addition, experiences from talks with representatives of NATO, the EU and the People's Republic of China in 2023 have been incorporated into the short paper.
