El Salvador is immersed in a complex context that is marked by deep threats of setbacks in terms of human rights, democracy and the rule of law. Given this situation, accession to the Escazú Agreement is urgent, because its implementation would create conditions to strengthen indicators of democratic governance and territorial social governance in matters of access to information, public participation and justice in environmental matters.
