This policy paper is one of the outputs of the "Women as Policy Makers" project, a national program implemented in Madaba governorate by the Motivators for Training in collaboration with the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation.The main objective of the project is to increase the active participation of women in public areas in the governorate of Madaba to achieve sustainable and equitable gender changes in policies and practices, ensuring the voice of women at all levels, including the poorest and most marginalized women. The purpose of this policy paper is to preserve the tourist and archaeological sites in Madaba governorate which are of great importance in supporting the national economy through the promotion and marketing of tourist places and reducing the authority's neglecting behaviour and the people's abuse through studying the following concerns: - To know the reality of the tourism movement in Madaba and the role of the competent authorities in the interest in the tourism sector. - To know the causes of the abuse and neglect of the archaeological sites in Madaba from the point of view of the community members in Madaba. - To give some recommendations and solutions proposed from the perspective of some members of the CSOs in Madaba.
