Zusammenfassung
The European trade union movement agrees in essence with the need for strategic autonomy for the EU, because it is in the interest of workers. It aims at (re)industrialization, the partial relocation of the extreme international division of labour, better control of the most important supplies and independence from strategic technologies, know-how and innovation capacities within the EU. The trade unions call on the EU member states to strengthen the social and democratic dimension and thus European sovereignty, which must be considered as integral parts of the EU's strategic autonomy agenda. This publication bears witness to the state of the debate.
