Summary Albania achieved socio-economic progress in 2012. Its economy has grown even during this period, although the growth rate was lower in comparison to the previous years. The objectives of economic growth reached this year were not the ones envisaged, because 2012 turned out to be one of the most difficult years, as is the case with the other countries in the region. There has been an increase in wages and pensions as well.
