Verschärfter Lockdown infolge steigender Neuinfektionen trotz umfassender Impfaktion Ungeachtet eines dritten harten Lockdowns in Israel und ungeachtet der intensiven Impfkampagne stie­gen die Zahlen über Tage auf über 9000 Neuerkran­kungen. Insgesamt haben sich bislang über eine halbe Million Menschen in Israel mit dem Corona­Virus infiziert. Ein Licht am Ende des Tunnels ist indes zu erkennen. Gut ein Fünftel der Bevölkerung ist bereits mit dem schützenden Serum geimpft worden. Ziel der Regierung ist es, bis Ende März alle über 16-Jährigen gegen Covid-19 zu immunisie­ren. Nachdem zunächst ausschließlich mit dem deutsch-amerikanischen Mittel der Firmen Biontech und Pfizer geimpft wurde, wird nun auch der Impf­stoff des US-Konzerns Moderna eingesetzt. Vorläu­fig gelten allerdings weiter strenge Einschränkun­gen. So darf das eigene Haus oder die eigene Woh­nung nur in einem Umkreis von 1000 Metern verlas­sen werden, die Schulen, der Handel, alle Kultur­stätten, Cafés und Restaurants sowie Fitnessstudios und Schwimmbäder sind geschlossen.
