Israels neue Regierung nimmt ihre Arbeit auf Mit einer Rekordzahl von neun Frauen in der insge­samt 27 Sitze umfassenden Regierung und weiteren zehn Frauen, die zu Generaldirektorinnen in den Ministerien ernannt wurden, geht Israels neue Koali­tion an den Start. Für eine enge Zusammenarbeit sprachen sich die Minister_innen für Transport, Energie, Umwelt und Wirtschaft aus, um gemeinsam verstärkt Maßnahmen für eine nachhaltige Politik voranzutreiben. Etwas mühsam gestalteten sich zwischenzeitlich die Absprachen mit Ex­Regierungschef Benjamin Netanyahu über die Räumung der offiziellen Residenz in der Balfour­Straße. Netanyahu lässt sich Zeit mit dem Auszug aus seinem langjährigen Amtssitz. Die erste offiziel­le Reise von Yair Lapid als Außenminister führte unterdessen in die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate. Es war die bislang erste Visite eines israelischen Chefdiplomaten in der Golf-Monarchie. Die beiden Länder hatten erst im vergangenen Jahr ihre Bezie­hungen normalisiert.
