The first factor is the percentage of children out of school. Academy of Educational Planning and Management(AEPAM) in 2020-21 reported that the percentage of children out of school in Pakistan is 39.8%, which is decreasing over time. Similarly, another indicator is the percentage of children in the labor force is 4.90%, and this represents a significant decrease from the value of 12.04% in 2001-02. There is a need for the complete elimination of child labor. Chart 7.11 presents the trend in these two indicators.
