Driven by megatrends such as urbanisation and digitalisation and the global climate crisis, current mobility is facing fundamental change. In combination with public transport, "mobility as a service" (MaaS) promises to reduce motorised individual transport. At present, the public discourse on MaaS is dominated by transport policy as well as ecological and economic aspects. But what are the social consequences of new mobility? What effects does the growth of MaaS have on those employed in the sector? Will remote regions be better connected to public transport with the help of privately organised MaaS or will exclusion increase? How affordable and accessible will mobility remain for low-income groups? These and other questions are analysed in the study "Designing Mobility Services".
