The authors of the study "Antifeminism in Germany in Times of the Corona Pandemic" from the study series "Triumph of the Women? The female face of right-wing populism and extremism in selected countries". They impressively illuminate the connections between gender (in)justice, anti-feminism and corona conspiracy narratives. For anti-feminist messages permeate the corona conspiracy milieu. While some fear a "gender-political regression" through day-care closures and homeschooling, right-wing conservative to extreme right-wing voices see the Corona pandemic as an opportunity for a desired retraditionalisation of family and gender relations. Choosing this position also means supporting actors who have at least an authoritarian worldview. The study makes it clear that the ideological interweaving of anti-Semitism, racism and anti-feminism paints a misanthropic and anti-democratic picture of society. Therein lies a danger.
